A stitchery sort of day
Today I lifted all of my handmade quilts out of their cupboard and laid them on my cutting table to check that I'd made and adhered my maker's label to them all. I think I should give this one on the top of the pile of 15 or so to a wee girl whose Granny and Grandad we know. Her name is River and the dark hexagons weave their way in meandering fashion down the length of the quilt. The little bag I made just for me...featuring my favourite blues. The next thing is to select a quilt to give to the project of the foundation year pupils of Kamo High School , which will raise money for a koha ( gift) for our school where we all began in 1960. 61 years ago and the beginning of the rest of our lives.
