Autumn fun

There is always so much to do and I never get round to it.. today I decided that it was warm enough to sit outside and start whittling a spoon for my Aunt in law.  She gave me a piece of seasoned Tulip Wood from her tree that she and her husband had kept from a pruning abut three yeas ago (he has since passed away) and I thought I would have a go at making a spoon for her birthday. Luckily it is not till the end of November as it is quite hard on the hands.. thumbs particularly.  As it is seasoned I think it is rather hard to carve but I am having a wonderful time trying!!
Tea time now.. put the kettle on... where is that yummy cake?
