That was a Fern that Was!

It seems no time at all since I blipped the ferns beside the house unfurling, resembling for all the world a family of meerkats. Now they are dead and dying and the year has flown by in that sense.

Although there are fallen leaves on the ground, the trees in the Meadows are still mainly green but I expect the cold temperature in the next few days will result in a change to autumnal colours.

The Dower House benefits from the low winter sunshine which sneaks in under the balcony of the flat above to flood the house with sunlight all day. The drawback being it also brightens up and draws attention to the dusty surfaces therein. Swings and roundabouts on a sunny day like today.
