Angry Avon

The rain seriously came down again for much of the day and magically stopped just before the end of the work day.  Headed out with P to go check on the river and it was even higher than yesterday.  The path to the park was flooded and we met a homeowner who had popped out of his garden to check on the rising levels.  He was worried as the water was slowing down where it hits the Clyde which causes the Avon to start backing up.  In fifteen years he'd said it hadn't reched his garden so fingers crossed it stays that way overnight.  Its been bad news for the Borders though with more rain on the way this weekend.  Fingers crossed there's enough time before the next rain for the levels to drop a bit.

Seems likt a fitting setting for COP happening in the City...still vaguely hoping that something concrete might happen as a result.
