Changeable Autumn Weather

It poured with rain all morning - it had started by the time I got up at 5 a.m. and didn’t stop until after midday. So after lunch (chicken soup and toast) I popped out for a walk…and the sun came out!!

The main blip is taken in the old A1 lay-by that now serves as a footpath / cycle route / bridleway. The sun was highlighting the autumn colour of the trees. A few minutes later all the blue sky was gone and the clouds were very heavy - see extra.

Fortunately it remained dry for the rest of my walk.

Roast chicken dinner to make tonight - with Yorkshire Puds, new potatoes, swede/carrot mash and runner beans. Served with redcurrant gravy. Baked apple and custard for pudding. There may even be some (appropriate for Halloween) Hobgoblin Ale to sup :-)
