Skelly's Selfie

All Saint's Day or The Day of the Dead.  When I taught middle school we usually did a unit on the Mexican celebration which is a blending of native and Catholic cultures.  I was given these two Mexican pieces by a colleague many years ago.  I had to replace Skelly's hair at one point because a mouse decided it would work well in a nest; one of the "joys" of living in an old farmhouse in the country.  The weekend storm blew out late morning yesterday so local kids could go trick or treating but none came here.  Well, Mr. and Mrs. Chips did visit the pumpkin snack shack for their treats.
