Another Golden Day

The rain and wind of yesterday have left us with a carpet of leaves - and there are still lots more to come. Lots of raking, lots of leaf mould ...

We went to Buy Design to see what was new, and got a few presents to stash away for the festive season, ditto the Walled Garden.

Managed to resist cake and coffee at the Birdhouse, and got home in daylight. Did some sewing - a mat to stop bits falling out of the bottom of the log basket,  and had a FaceTime with the Surbiton set. Nico did most of the talking - she had a wonderful time at the local fireworks, a sleepover with her cousin at PoPo's (her Chinese Grandma), and she was very excited at the prospect of roast chicken for dinner. Oh to be six and full of zest for life!

We are settled by the stove, TM will be visiting the Isolation Inn for a Zoom meeting with a friend. And I'm sipping a nice glass of red, and contemplating where I am in my make-it-up-as-you-go-along knitting.
