Today's the day .................... to lose the light

A lovely late afternoon walk out along the shore of Kirkcudbright Bay - just as the sun was slowly sinking in the west.  In fact, I took the above at the exact moment the fiery ball touched the horizon across the bay - and in ten minutes, it had completely disappeared from sight.

The extra is looking southwards to where Kirkcudbright Bay merges into the Solway Firth.  By this time, the lighthouse on Little Ross Island was no more than a silhouette .....................
