Halifax

Mr A and I had an impromptu day out today. It was ace!

One of his friends had shared a photo on social media recently of the Piece Hall, so Mr A wanted to go and see it. He’s worked in Halifax loads, but never knew this place existed.

We let the train take the strain as it was quicker than driving and also meant we could have a tipple.

We both enjoyed wandering in and out of the shops there; Yorkshire folk are so friendly!

The town centre and Borough Market were also within walking distance, so we had a browse and stopped off for lunch in a busy Italian restaurant called La Luna.

Back then to the Piece Hall for another wander to buy a few things we’d seen first time round, then just time for a gin and tonic before catching the train home.

We can only imagine how busy it gets at the weekend; the Christmas Makers market starts tomorrow too, though we’d expect the stalls to be up already.

Although it was raining when we left home this morning, it stayed dry in Halifax so that made for a much nicer day out. :-)
