Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Visitor!

While browsing Instagram this morning (still in bed, with a coffee) I noted that a friend was painting her lounge. The friend was Pip’s mum, so Pip must be a bit bored, I thought…

I texted her and offered to take him off her hands. Yes please! So I collected him and left her to her painting. When we came in, Archie gave one wee bark and then realised who it was - his friend Pip! So we all walked up to the graveyard for a saunter round. We’ve never had Pip with us for an off-lead walk, but he was fine, those wee tasty treats in my pocket ensured that he didn’t go far from me.

JR then took the boys on a longer walk, while I came back, via Pomelo. Those sweet chilli chicken bao buns are irresistible! And I remembered to take a photo before gobbling my one up this time. (Extra)

We had a nice afternoon with both dogs, who just kind of ignored each other. But Pip made himself at home on the sofa (last time he was here, we didn’t have any sofas!)

Later on, his mum came to pick him up. She was bearing a bottle of Prosecco, so we helped her celebrate the end of painting. We offered to look after him any time, as she has loads more ‘alterations’ planned.

Funnily enough, Pip has a visit to the vet to get his teeth cleaned next week, but not the same morning as Arch. T’would have been nice if they’d come round from the anaesthetic in neighbouring cages, recovering for the day. Though I think neither of them would be impressed.
