Family fixer!

Today, our son in law came round with his power drill and accompanying expertise. He put up two sets of coat pegs in the cloakroom and the utility room and a hand painted Polish mirror in the kitchen. The latter had been a special gift we received from our colleagues at the end of our four year contract in Poland.
He also installed our new water butt. Having just received our first water bill we will be watching the weather forecasts even more closely from now on!

This morning we put up even more of our pictures and curtains in the dining room. Bit by bit we are making this house into our new permanent home!

ManU were beaten by Watford this afternoon. ( I remember the excitement in January 1969, when I lived near Watford, and they played Man Utd in the FA Cup and lost 1-0! In 1974, when Elton John was Watford Chairman I went to his concert at Vicarage Road. It was a remarkable occasion.

This evening we watched a Channel 4 programme Britain by Beach. Portobello Beach had a prominent role! Anita Rani was on the sands and in The Espy and the drone shots made us feel very nostalgic! Dunnotar. Arbroath and Cramond also featured.
