Easter Day

3years 161days

Katie and I woke up at what I thought was 630 new time. Turns out it was 630 old time as the i-Devices had corrected themselves automatically. So we got some time just snuggling and relaxing. She got dressed into her Easter dress (she chose this one instead of the yellow one that got blipped previously) fairly early and is really proud of it. I gave her our Easter gifts. We have matching charm bracelets, hers in pink pearl, mine in cream pearls. Each has a monkey and a camera, for Mummy and Katie. She's even more proud of that. Then she was rather chuffed to discover her little chocolate egg bucket with a bunny wooden name tag on.

She then spent the morning with Lydia as Mummy had to go work on the studio. They went to church, where she was very charming so people have told me. She did colouring in and chatted to the youthworker - she asked him to draw her and told him off when he didnt include her pretty bracelet or the flowers on her shoes! They then went back to Lydias and had roast dinner and an egg hunt.

Mid afternoon they collected me and we went off to the swimming pool. My eldest niece and several others from our congregation were being baptised in the pool. We had a service first in the conference room before all going to the poolside. I was in the pool, just a few steps in from the side. Katie and all the children were sat on towels round the side (with adults and life guards!). They were all thoroughly fascinated by the baptisms. She only asked once to get in with Mummy! It was a lovely afternoon, a really special service. We all went round to the Cousins' house for coffee and afternoon tea. We travelled with Granny and Grandad, to Katie's delight. She fell asleep shortly after we arrived! I thought that would be her gone for the night. However, when we got home she woke up long enough to open her Easter gift from them and eat a few tiny eggs!

Happy Easter to you all!
