Easter Bunny goes to the farm

3years 160days

Katie woke shortly before 530 today. I think she was quite excited. We intended to get at train about 8.15 but instead got a 7am train to Scarborough to see my parents. We got a taxi to them and had time for a nice cuppa before they went out to collect the car. They came back at the same time as Uncle Simon arrived to join us too!

We took Katie to the Filey Bird Park and farm this morning. She enjoyed the animal but really loved the play area. She had a long play there. She then went to see the sheep and that was when she got brave enough to hand feed them. She wouldnt do it for any other animals. We went in the mini willow maze before we went into the ornamental garden. Katie loved the little hidey holes in there and went on a mission to "cook" for us all.

We headed to a farm shop with restaurant near by for lunch where we had a really beautiful meal. Katie played with dinosaurs and zoo animals as we ate too. She picked herself a little chocolate egg with mini chocolate beans inside it, shook it enthusiastically before dropping it on the floor. Ooops. The farm had a play area with a big old tractor converted into a slide and climbing, a fishing cobble decked out inside so they could climb and play and a big staged area that proved perfect for chase with Uncle Simon. She chatted to the rabbit who shared a run with the hens.

She's had lots of smiles today, lots of lovely time with Grandad, Granny and Uncle Simon. We got the train home after tea and she danced for most of the journey home.
