Looking across to Holm
It has felt like a day of foreboding. The disgrace of a Prime Minister gets more pleasure from upsetting the French and other European countries than trying to respond the humanitarian crises caused by migration; the possibility of a new Covid variant that is even more transmittable, resistant to vaccines and a cause of serious illness; and severe weather warnings for wind and snow.
This morning I went to see Adrian for coffee, a photography conversation and to drop off the UPP Postfolio. It was good to see him and catch up. I drove home on a back route that followed narrow lanes across the high moors. The sun was shining and the air was clear so I took the risk of stopping a few times to take the view. To help you locate where it is, this is "Last of the Summer Wine" country. Hard to beat but the wind was biting.
