Big compost pile in the nature reserve
On Friday mornings, I take my neighbour's dog for a walk round the park and allotment.
The OUWG seem to have been busy felling trees and, with the recent winds, trees have lost most of their leaves so this compost pile stands out more than usual.
They're very good at what they do and it's nice to have them as our neighbours! This compost pile is so good for wildlife - it's surrounded by nettles and brambles, provides hiding and nesting places, and includes logs for invertebrates.
I often check out the nature reserve for inspiration but find that the plot is too small to do everything I'd like!
