Free timber

I've been pondering over how to build a new composting bay with 4 heaps (2 for food waste, 1 for leafmould and 1 for compost or manure deliveries) over the winter. 

I first considered pallets as they're free or cheap but I'd have needed at least 9. Not ideal with my sciatica. 

And then life sent this amazing surprise. ☆☆☆SIXTEEN☆☆☆ practically-new deckboards in a local skip!!
[Don't get me started on what some people throw in skips in my uber-gentrified area...]

It took me an hour to get them to the plot and a friend was at the gate when I arrived, and, of course, helped me.

It's my lucky day. Now back to the drawing board. I just need to get hold of fence posts and level the area where the new composting bays are going to go.
