Hold a chicken and pull a funny face

Seems I captured wonderful pictures of the boys today, whilst holding poor chickens, pretty much how they aren't supposed to be held.  

Lovely morning visiting friends, mostly playing inside as it's so darn cold.  Certainly no horse riding or dog walking (or picnic!).  Lots of tea for grown ups.  We did go out for a tractor inspection (five tractors and an awful lot of equipment) as well as checking in on the chickens. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
About an hour spent messing around in the barn mucking out and piling up hay for horses to eat - the purse enjoyment of something so simple 
The youngest and his enduring delight of tractors 
Bed time - two children who need their beds this evening
