Monday: The Wake Of The Ferry

Lest you think that Croatia is all green and lush, here is the east side of the island of Rab, as seen from our departing ferry - bizarrely, the west and north of the island is all green and covered in woods, the east and south is much more like a lunar landscape.

We left this morning for the ferry ride and drive back to Zagreb.  Despite the fact that it was unseasonably cold, our apartment was unheated and there were only two restaurants open we have had a brilliant time.  Seeing these popular resorts out of season gives them a whole different feel and we have just loved being somewhere new.  

Having said that, the first thing we did when we got home was crank up the heating, just because we can!

And despite the colours, this is pretty much straight out of the camera.
