Wanaka foreshore …

….. ….. ….. on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Friend M. & I went over to Wanaka for some needed shopping, but mostly for me to take my granddaughter out for lunch. She’s nearly finished her year at Mt Aspiring College and will be heading back home to Auckland very soon - 3 exams to go.

After the cold weather we had over the past two days this weather was very welcome!

We’re all concerned about the new Covid-19 variant Omicron. I wonder what sort of a difference it’s going to make? The new cases in NZ (only 1 in the Sth Island and it’s from the border) are steady at about 150 a day. There‘ve been a few deaths too but thankfully not many. The Govt has stopped flights from South Africa coming into NZ for now.
