Lemon Tree Very Pretty…
…and the fruit are very red!
We had to bring the little lemon tree indoors when Storm Arwen wrecked the greenhouse, so now it lives in the kitchen. I had these baubles which are far too big for the tiny Christmas tree so thought I titivate it up a bit.
What foul weather it’s been today but no matter, we’ve occupied ourselves very well.
I got all the Christmas cards finished and posted and Frank posted parcels to Ireland. We heard yesterday that young Isla (she of the bright copper burnished hair) has Covid. Apparently it is doing the rounds in her school and at gymnastics. She’s had a bad cold all week but only tested positive on the fifth day. Luckily she feels good today so it has passed with no really ill effects.
I did some knitting this morning while watching an information programme put together by ‘Independent Sage’ the group of scientists and immunologists who advise the government. They are unhappy because the government don’t actually follow their advice. Anyway, Sabrina sent me the link because she is quite concerned that Covid and the new strain Omnicron doesn’t seem to be taken seriously enough by the government and the schools. The experts explain in simple terms, how the virus works and how the different variants behave and also how the vaccines work and make such a difference to the out comes.

It made me wonder if it’s fate that I didn’t get a ticket for the Christmas concert :-/
After lunch I got my art stuff out and started drawing some trees based (loosely) on the ones in HarlingDarling’s Blip. I just loved the shape of them.
I still need to work out what background to do bit I enjoyed getting back to some artwork.
By the way I came across a new Blipper whose art work I love - maya4040
After tea Bella was taken up for a shower with the promise of a treat afterwards. As usual she hid her face in every available corner, room and piece of furniture along the way and then finally behind the wash basin pedestal. She must think of she can’t see is then she is hidden. Bless.
Anyway, now she smells delightful - of coconut rather than sweaty socks!
She had her chewy treat afterwards and is now cosy on her bed. She actually loves to be clean and she lets me know if the towel on her bed is not clean. She sniffs at it then lies on the floor in front of her bed and stares at me. As soon as I put a clean towel on she ‘s back on it. Clever pooch!
Now it is nearly 8.30pm and I’m going to have a glass of sherry and a bit of chocolate and read my book, or do a crossword, or a codeword, or knit or watch telly or maybe a bit of them all!
Goodnight Blippers :-)X
