Oh dear...

This happened yesterday evening.  Which has meant a busy day, undoing 2 months spent planning a ball for around 900 people.  All undone in the space of around 3 hours. Some unhappy people, but given the numbers involved, the decision has been understood and taken well. Today's achievement has been redeploying some food booked for the ball to another evening, so it won't go to waste. 

The eldest is very disappointed that 'Mummy's party isn't happening'.  The youngest seems quite ambivalent. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Support from lots of people for having to unbook so many people
Time with the youngest when the eldest was at his tutoring 
Reading a 'grown-up' book to the eldest gradually over a number of evenings, it's lovely to see him going up a notch
