Festive lunch
A relaxed morning, for me, after rather a late night. I must say, the cinema experience was terrific. Though t’would have been better had we worked out how to tip the chairs back. JR, having shorter legs than normal folk, could not put her feet on the floor all evening. Which eventually gets quite tiring. However, we now know where the magic button is to tip the seat back…
Archie had a nice time at Pip’s house. Or so they say. Still, he’s not UN-invited yet…
We enjoyed the film, though one actor’s absolutely excruciatingly awful ‘Italian accent’ was almost painful. And he featured in quite a lot of looong scenes. And reading reviews today, which I hadn’t looked at before I saw it, it seems to be the main criticism of the film, and I had NO IDEA of the (true life) ending, which was a bonus.
Archie and I popped in to Mary’s to invite her round for a cuppa next week with our old friend Mary from the gym. I do feel it’s important to keep in touch with the older people in the area, as I’ll be one of them soon. At 1pm we had a luncheon at Hazel’s. And what a splendid spread it was. Archie was left at home with his bone, while we popped across the road.
Elizabeth came home with me at 5pm to take Archie to the Links. He got a such a nice surprise.
I’m in now in my jammies, Archie has been out, fire is on, and JR is still over at Hazel’s, ‘helping her tidy up’. I think another bottle might have been opened…
