A Lone Tree

A grey miserable start to the day, but I did get out for a walk late morning - and although there was a brief shower of rain it was mostly dry. The clouds did clear a little in the distance and I managed to capture this tree standing in the middle of the field. In the upper left of the tree is a perched bird, a buzzard.

After finding evidence of a mouse / mice in my shed the other day, yesterday I put down some poison in two little ‘bait stations’. On checking them today I found that both bait blocks have been chewed. The packaging described the poison as ‘single feed kill’ - so I guess I must hunt for corpses in the next few days. This of course will mean I will probably have to empty everything out to look in all the corners.
