WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Big Softie

Bella doesn’t play with toys or fetch a ball but she likes her fluffy companions. When we return from shopping or if a visitor comes she always grabs one of the toys to greet us with. She parades around with it in her mouth until people have their coats off and have shut the living room door.

Not much to write about today. Just a lolling about kind of Sunday, reading, knitting, feeding the birds and ourselves. Frank made a delicious roast dinner - Nut roast with all the veg roasted too - potatoes, sprouts and carrots.
I phoned Sue for a chat. She’s in a lot of pain with her hip but I think it will be ages before she has surgery at this rate with the Covid numbers.

Birds seen in our garden this week: (This makes me very happy :-D))
Collared doves
Jackdaws
Blackbirds
Robins
Wrens
Sparrows
Bluetits
Starlings
One Wagtail
Sparrow Hawk! (It didn’t catch anything)

Settling down for a night of knitting and telly, watching the rest of Outlaws
about a group of people doing community service. Funny in parts, serious in parts, most enjoyable.

Hope you’ve all had a good weekend.
Goodnight :-) X

PS Just seen all the devastation in America - my greenhouse blowing away is so trivial compared to what those poor folk are going through.
My heart goes out to everyone out there.
