Nurse Blanche

Sunny, high for the day 50 deg F. Got up to wrap a few gifts before I headed out. Hubby read about his potential injury and heeded the advice to stay off his leg. Blanche has decided it is her job to comfort Granddad. She sits on his lap, holds his hand and purrs him to sleep. What a good kitty. Only two spectators are allowed per player at the kids’ basketball games in the neighboring county. Jamie invited me to go with his family to watch Parker play today. His game was at 4:30 but they wanted to go early (12:15) and watch football at a sports bar since Washington was playing Dallas. It’s an hour drive. The waiter had brought our apps when Jamie got the word the game was cancelled because of a possible COVID exposure on the other team. We ordered salads and watched the game until half time. Washington was being crushed when we left (guess that’s typical). I was happy to return to my wrapping paper, scissors and tape. We had leftover meatloaf so dinner was easy. I am making progress. Hope your weekend was as nice as ours. Stay safe and warm. The tornado death toll continues to rise - what a tragedy.
