It Has Begun

Today was dedicated to gift wrapping. My sister came over while I was making our breakfast cranberry pecan bread. She is always saving me from anxious situations. We put a huge dent in the task while listening to Christmas tunes; at least half of the gifts are now wrapped. I really like some of our paper, bought on sale after Christmas of course. My children are each planning fun family vacations and listed money towards those expenses at the top of their lists. So, each person will have one gift to open on Christmas Eve which made wrapping easier. And gift opening will be shorter, meaning a more enjoyable time for all. The two families who still want stockings will open those small gifts later at their homes. This way we can spend more time focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. Hubby shopped at many stores, researched tire options for his SUV, picked up meds, and worked on financial tasks. It’s pizza and salad night; too tired to cook after all those trips up and down the stairs. Wishing you an easy time with Christmas preps. Thanks for the visits. Stay safe and healthy. “In the midst of the shopping and the wrapping and the arranging of presents under your tree this Christmas, may you not forget the gifts you cannot yet hold in your hands.” - T.
