Grey Heron

I kept my eye open this morning and spotted the young one on top of the Dovecote before I got to the entrance. I just reached the grass and she flew down. Again there were a couple of small dogs around (quite close by) I knew she had it covered though. I got her fed as quick as possible so she could get back to safety. When I had fed her she watched me leave then flew back over to the loch.
I think she is really looking quite the adult now. Her black eye stripe and trailing plumes are pretty much developed and her beak is getting more yellow all the time.
