Tranistion Zone

Much of the reedbed is frozen enough that I could walk out to the water's edge for this shot. Another mild day and sunny with it. The lake was free of ice and a few reeds off shore reflected in the absolutely still surface. I liked the fallen cattails lying on the ice in the foreground pointing out into the scene. Their straight lines contrasting with the curved reed reflections. Lots of empty space gives a peaceful feeling.
