Singing without masks

Left a still dreich Glasgow and drove to the Northern Lakes and restorative Higham Hall, Carols for Everyone. Extraordinary sunset over the Solway Firth and still some light left at 4.30 when I arrived.
A little disconcerted that there are only 6 of us so it’s going to be a bit difficult to hide behind others singing. Jolly good fun and highly sociable. Will make the Merchant Singers choir practice a breeze. Actually I don’t really care, I’m just having a great time. We are encouraged to make mistakes as long as they are loud ones. I can do that.
And we could hear the hooting of owls through the open windows.
