Blue skies
This morning after a brief Waitrose shop for some special cheeses (including Rosary goats cheese, made by longstanding friends of ours) we went for a local walk to check on the "mooing mowers" as they are known (see the extra) and to Yew Hill butterfly reserve where people and sheep have been busy scrub bashing to improve the habitat for butterflies and their food plants next year. The main is from the reserve looking into the Itchen valley, with wooded, St Catherine's hill on the sky line, on the left. You can't really see Winchester city as it is hidden in the valley. It was good to glimpse a bit of blue sky and to enjoy some sunshine, if briefly.
