You Never Can Tell
A nice upbeat number to celebrate Prince Charming finally finding Cinderella and asking for her hand in marriage. Rehearsals continue apace though we are all very conscious that we may still not be able to perform in our traditional slot of the first two weeks of January. The latest rumour is that Boris will order a “firebreak” lockdown during that period. Where that would leave us in terms of rescheduling performances, we really don’t know - I suppose all we can do for now is keep going and hope for the best.
A very chilly walk into town this morning. The path along the river is still interrupted by the flood defence works, though there is very little physical evidence of anything having been done. Perhaps it is just as well that the river level remains low at the moment.
Managed a quick gym session after rehearsal as I’m conscious I won’t be able to go again before Christmas. We’re in Chester for the next three days, so the best I can hope for is to maybe go for a quick run along the River Dee - as long as it’s not too cold or wet!
We’ve got a fairly tight schedule to fit in seeing all relatives - and that’s not forgetting to allow time to visit various churchyards as well - and I’m conscious I haven’t actually got a present for my mother yet! Best be an early night tonight so we can get away in good time tomorrow morning!
