A Little Gem Of A Tree, Aylesford
Just added bits and bobs of Christmas foodstuffs to the usual weekly shop and then had a swift pint at the village pub. Today's image is of the compact and bijou Christmas tree in the village square. In the background, on the left, is the resurrected "smallest pub in Kent", The Little Gem, which has now been taken over by Goacher's. On the right of the tree is what used to be the post office but is now a general store. The "new" post office has been moved to the petrol station which is well over half a mile from the centre of the village itself - a perfect location (not!).
