Christmas in the Desert

Goat had the good idea to visit the Scottsdale Waterfront to wander among their decorations.  Since we're in the desert, the "water" is actually a canal, but it's pretty just the same.  We stopped on the way for dinner, at a moderately upscale restaurant.  Dinner was good but was also a reminder, if one were necessary, that visiting (or being visited by) my grown daughter can be an expensive pleasure.
