Turkeys before dawn

THURSDAY - CHRISTMAS EVE

I had booked my car in for new tyres at 09:00 but the garage phoned me and asked if I would take it in at 07:00 so I was up at stupid o'clock this morning. I had an hour or so to kill and had a wander around the Skircoat Green area of Halifax. There was a queue of a dozen or so people waiting outside this butcher's shop.

I was back home for 08:30, loaded the car to the hilt with presents and Christmas food and, after negatvie LFTs we headed down to Nottingham to spend Christmas with Harriet and George.
