Musical genius

Ivy striking her first note with the new xylophone gifted by her highly musical great grandmother.  She gurgled and rocked with delight! So sweet! 

In the morning we had a Christmas brunch with Rory and Alice here and then opened presents.  They left to see her mother early afternoon and then Mum came over at tea time. 

The evening started with champagne cocktails,  followed by Christmas dinner of my home cured gravadlax (a Jamie Oliver recipe, very good), goose with all the trimmings followed by mince pies from the Diana Henry reboot of the classic Josceline Dimbleby recipe, very good with strong brandy butter.   We meant to play a game but again were all exhausted.
