Two granddaughters waiting for Christmas Dinner

This is about the only usable picture taken all day, too much excitement and noise to take good shots.
We started at a little gone 6 am with the traditional " HIS BEEN" followed by the equally traditional "everyone one plus the dog onto Grandma/Grandads bed" to open stockings. Small presents, small children and wrapping paper everywhere, unbelievable excitement over small pots of playdo type stuff and when the selection packs were unwrapped they went into orbit. Absolutely wonderful start to the day, even if their display of enthusiasm was very limited when I opened my second pack of socks (boring but very essential).
Down stairs was littered with more presents, as befits a house with four kids. Several more hours of chaos and confusion and squeals of delight and loads and loads of torn wrapping paper. Once everything was opened and the wrapping paper disposed of some type of order returned to the living room, the kids all engrossed in their new toys and games. The activity moved to the kitchen as dinner was prepared. My job was limited to preparing the prawn starter, not easy but I coped.
The blip is taken before dinner was served and just before the Mr. Table presents were opened. Child with hand up is claiming to be the youngest and should therefore be first to open her present. She isn't but the youngest one (just 2 years old) was being very slow so she was overtaken. My present in the foreground was obviously the last to be opened.
A great day, totally knackered by the end but we all had had lots of fun and happiness
