Got up, packed our bed away, packed our bags. Said goodbye to Selena before she left for work, then Harry made me a delicious fancy coffee. Arnold arrived for the day - it was Matt’s first time meeting him so lots of cuddles and face licking to make up for lost time.

We needed to pop to Waitrose on our way to the station, so Ma and Arnie walked us there and we said goodbye at the door. Got some tasty treats, then headed back to Bristol. It had been really wet and horrible in Bracknell but by the time we got back west, it was blue skies and sunny!

When we got home we unpacked and showered, then I made some mulled wine and we opened all our other presents. Lovely little second Christmas!

In the evening we met the gang at the Vic for a few drinks and lots of wet dog cuddles. Very lovely to see them and catch up about our respective Christmases - and then very dramatic on the way home when Elly walked face-first into a lamppost and split her eyebrow open. Matt and I walked Burly through the park so Paul could escort her straight home to get some ice on her face and assess how bad it was. We all agreed probably not an A&E job, but I think she’ll be lucky not to have at least one black eye! Poor thing!
