Number 52

The 52 Tags challenge is complete. I have just finished the last one - Number 52. That’s it leaning against the ring - A Christmas Tree - using a bit of Macramé apparently, not something I have ever done before.

Behind the tree tag is the first one - All White - made in January. What a long time ago that seems now. On the back of each tag are a few words relevant to that week - makes for fascinating reading. So, a journal for 2021 . . . in little bits of stitching and a few words.

A new challenge is planned for next year. I will be doing it, but probably not quite in the way suggested. I have put some details below for those people who wanted to know about it.

HanneMADE by Anne

Anne Brooke, an artist and a teacher, started ‘Sew for the Soul’ projects and then ’52 Tags’ during lockdown and was amazed how many people joined in, from all over the world. All the videos, including one for each Tag, are listed on her website and are freely available on YouTube.  Next year she is starting a new challenge, but this understandably now requires a membership commitment. At the basic level, and to view the videos each week, costs £3 a month and is available through ko-fi. The new challenge is called 52 Flags and I think the idea is that the flags will form bunting. I doubt I am going to go along with this idea but I have joined and will follow all the suggestions, creating each piece in my own format.

If you are interested, it is worth looking on Anne’s website for all the details and links.
