Lunch with friends

Today we got together with two sets of friends in the Chalfonts.     We were going to go out to lunch in a nice pub there but then our friend who lives there said she would be happy to cook for us. So I took the starter as in the photo….Parma ham and melon, our host cooked the main course ….venison from a local source which was lovely and our other friends - in the photo - brought a lovely trifle type dessert made from a Robert Carrier recipe. Then cheeses, then coffee and chocolates so not much needed for supper! Really nice to catch up with all of them and our friends daughter who we have not seen for years as she lives and works in Worcester. Also it was more relaxed than being in a pub.

The M25 was very busy but the traffic did keep moving so the journey was better than expected. 

The weather is till so gloomy and the rec where I walk the dog has some bad mud patches.
