Advance Or Retreat

I found some interesting snow patterns today and decided to have play with them.

Whenever I have one of these images where there is a strong dividing line between, in this case dark and light, I have a hard time deciding on where the balance should fall - half way, 2/3rds, 1/3rd, etc. - and in which orientation to place the division.

Choosing a more or less equal balance implies it can be seen two ways, like glass half full or glass half empty. In this image, is the snow accumulating or melting?

Somewhat unfairly I feel, Blip resets the extras count, possibly based on GMT, but not my time zone. I forgot. Here's an extra anyway.
