RHS Bridgewater

TUESDAY

A cold start to the day with a dusting of overnight snow. But the sun was shining and a visit to RHS Bridgewater beckoned.

By comparison, it was almost tropical on the other side of the Pennines. The two photos in the extras were taken just 18 miles apart. The first one was taken on the moors about 5 miles from home. The M62 motorway is on the horizon.The second photo was taken at Worsley some 45 minutes later.

The Christmas tree has been stripped bare and is out in the back garden
