Working on the lines

Preventative work, hopefully. Always so thankful for the crews that do this work. I took this on the way home from town as we drove by slowly. We had garbage to take to the transfer station. Our road was very icy but the main road had been sanded/salted and was clear. The road up to the transfer station was really icy in parts, and we were behind the truck in the first extra who was going there to drop off some items at the "mall" there. People can take things there for other people to take for free, much better than leaving them on the side of the road. There's a small charge for dropping things off. The driver of the truck was being very careful, as we were. Thankful for excellent winter tires!
We went to pick up some groceries and only saw one old woman not wearing a mask. We saw her in the store the other day too, and I suspect she might have a medical reason for not wearing a mask. She was coughing and hacking again today, so I stayed clear of her!  It was too busy and I just wanted to get the few things we needed and get out of there.
Sounds like we have more snow on the way, up to 20-25 cm tomorrow night. I was waiting for G in the car while he went to pick up something downtown and saw the woman in the 2nd extra with a new snow shovel. She's going to need it!  Not the best photo, taken from the car through a dirty window.
