Admiring her work

A grey and cold day today, made to feel even colder by an icy wind. I could only stop briefly at the artificial island on my way to the sanctuary but fortunately the female swan was off her nest and I was able to get a fully zoomed in photo of the eggs. As you can see, they were lightly covered with some of the nesting material but I think I could make out 8 of them after cropping that photo. I was in two minds whether to choose this shot of the swan looking at her eggs for today's blip or this one of her stretching her wings before settling back on them.

Thank you very much for the kind comments and stars on yesterday's blip. They are very much appreciated and help me to keep going when I feel like giving up.

I've had a very frustrating and disappointing time since I got home after this afternoon's walk with one of the sanctuary's dogs!! I've been trying to make a backup of an old laptop's hard drive with what is supposed to be a simple programme but apparently it's still not simple enough for me because after 3 attempts I 've still not been able to get that backup made. All it has achieved is that I'm very tempted to throw two external hard drives in the bin! Ok, I'll stop ranting now.
