Nesting Coot

At some distance to the left of the nesting swans, I spotted the nest of a Coot when I stopped at the artificial island this afternoon. When the Coot got off the nest a little later to have a good stretch, I could see that it had laid only 1 egg so far.

Today has been another busy day. After my morning shift at work, I hurried home to join my brother, who had come over from Berchem, and my mother for some lunch. Afterwards I also had to run an errand but instead of going home immediately after I'd finished it, I rode my bicycle to the artificial island to see if I could find anything to blip there, which I fortunately did.
