Raven

We did a long drive today up the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields, where we saw how far the Athabasca glacier has retreated since I was last here in 1990. Then it was just a short stroll from the road; now it's a major hike and I didn't even get halfway.

It was snowing by the time I got back to the car and this raven was toughing it out in the snow.

Earlier we visited Lake Louise which was a spectacular meringue of ice.
