Diary of an Edinburgher

Another present

Here’s Archie waiting for Robert this morning. We get a bit of reflected sunlight for a while in the mornings. Nice.

Once Archie had gone, and JR had come home, we went to the charity shop to deliver a boot full of desirable items. Or maybe not so desirable - they don’t take electrical items.  And so the ancient carrot juicer with the NZ plug, and waffle maker, came back with us. Perhaps to go back to the high shelf from whence they came a week or so ago.

After Robert’s visit, where we chatted about the news of the day - Prince Andrew, Novak Djokovic, and the PM’s party email invites to 100 staff during lockdown. JR then walked down to Morningside shops for a bit of a browse, and to pick up my new specs, which were ordered on December 1st. Just as well I’m not desperate for them.

While JR was away, another Christmas present was delivered - a chap came to give the car a proper valet, which was definitely much better than any ‘valets’ I have done.
