Hythe Beach fishing fleet
Thank you for your all your kind concerns and good wishes for a successful diagnosis and outcome for Susan’s foot. It’s taken a long time and much self treatment to get to having an X-ray.
Thank you also for the comments on yesterday’s blip. I didn’t have the chance today to visit journals as I was in Tenterden early for a meeting of the railway sustainability group developing our plans for a more sustainable railway given the we burn coal.
As it was a beautiful winter’s day we went off to the coast at Hythe in the late afternoon just as the sun was low in the sky. We explored a different part of the beach adjacent to the firing ranges (closed today) and found a new cafe tucked away called the Lazy Shack. It will repay a proper visit.
The setting sun in a clear sky created excellent golden light for at least two hours. The intense red and orange glow subsiding gently well over an hour after sunset. The sea was flat calm, there were paddle boarders and wild swimmers making full use of the magical conditions.
Todays blip is of the few boats that make up the Hythe Beach fishing fleet. I didn’t even know there was a fleet here. The boat and all the paraphernalia were lit by the sun’s golden light. I’ve also included an extra.
