The trenches

A sunny morning at last. The spaniel loves sniffing around in the old army trenches which are full of rabbit holes just above the flood line. The water level has dropped rapidly but is still about three feet deep. I'm hoping to persuade the local history and archaeology group to conduct a survey of the trench system which must be several kilometers long.
