Home at Last

Met Elaine in Harrogate and we went for lunch at Fodders.
Just missed my hourly bus back to Ilkley.
Then remembered the bus has temporarily moved to two hours in the afternoon due to Covid and driver shortage.
Non plussed decided to get the bus back to Leeds to get a bus home from there. Could also travel some of the way with Elaine before she got off at Moortown.
Got into Leeds only to see my connecting bus reverse out of the next bay at the bus station.
Never mind, got on the slow bus to Otley, including two detours to Yeadon then Menston.
Saw the link bus that goes round the houses before stopping in my village, so jumped on that one.
Then walked through the park to home.
All in all took me three hours and twenty minutes.
My usual bus does the journey in just over half an hour.
Can drive there in around fifteen to twenty minutes.

Just eaten and took my blip at the same time.
Just going to have a quick tidy up and must get out the vac.
Tim coming to stay overnight so we can set of early on our walk in the morning.
Rebecca coming over before eight so we can do it together and be done for lunchtime as Elaine is coming to stay until Monday.
