Lille, France

We gave the kids a choice of trips today and Olivia insisted that she wanted to go to her friend 'France.' She loves visiting France but I think she was a bit disappointed when she realised we weren't staying overnight because she loves staying in hotels!

It was our first time in Lille and although the weather was disappointing (it was freezing) despite having checked the forecast before we went, we still had a good time. We started off at the small zoo which was free and kept the kids entertained for just the right amount of time before descending on a great playground just outside the zoo. We then went into the town centre for lunch and a potter which was pleasant but so so cold.

It'll be nice to return in warmer weather, whenever that will be!
